Location: The cottage is centrally located in the residential part of town, two blocks south of the Mendocino Art Center and one block east of Crown Hall. The beaches, headlands, post office, two food markets, bakeries, craft shops, art galleries and several good restaurants are within easy walking distance.

Accommodations: The 10 by 16 foot cabin sleeps two on a queen size futon. It has its own outdoor spa on a large, sunny deck which is fenced for privacy. The kitchenette is fully furnished for simple meal preparation. A wood stove and an electric heater provide warmth on cool days. The shower is outside but under a roof and enclosed up to the shoulders. Linens are provided.

Rates: $100 per night, two night minimum. Midweek special: Sunday night through Thursday night for $400. An 11 percent bed tax is not included in the rate.
